Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Assembly & Warehouse Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will handle the physical assembly of mattresses, operate light shop machinery, and manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
This is a fast-paced, highly physical position suited for someone who enjoys active work, possesses solid mechanical aptitude, and thrives in a small-business setting where versatility is valued.
Key Responsibilities

Mattress Assembly & Production:
Assemble mattresses using foam, coils, and fabrics.
Operate and maintain assembly tools, staple guns, compressed air lines, and light production machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform quality-control checks on finished goods to ensure high standards before packaging.

Shipping & Receiving:
Package, wrap, and box finished products securely for transport.
Load and unload delivery trucks safely.
Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and record inventory counts accurately.
Generate shipping labels and coordinate with freight and ground carriers.

Warehouse & Operations Support:
Keep production areas, workstations, and inventory racks clean, organized, and safe.
Assist with periodic inventory audits and raw material stock monitoring.
Collaborate with team members to resolve production bottlenecks and refine assembly workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and stretch for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
Lifting Ability: Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing at least 50 lbs independently.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort working with basic hand tools, pneumatic machinery, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
Work Ethic: High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a dependable attendance record.
Team Mindset: Willingness to jump in on various warehouse tasks as needed in a small team setting.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in assembly, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
