Rental Assistant Coordinator/Yard Coordinator
South Florida Caterpillar dealer is seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Rental Coordinator / Yard Coordinator to support operations within our light and heavy construction equipment rental divisions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and proficient computer skills. Prior experience or knowledge of the construction industry and heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the Rental Coordinator in daily operations
- Process rental contracts, transactions, and invoicing accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and attachments
- Conduct regular inventory scans and audits
- Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and safety of the equipment yard
- Operate and relocate heavy equipment as required to designated locations
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional customer service
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate heavy construction equipment
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the rental industry or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
