Registered Dental Hygienist

We are a periodontal practice seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our small, supportive team on Thursdays. Our fee-for-service practice values the importance of comprehensive periodontal maintenance therapy, providing each patient with a 1-hour appointment for personalized care. We operate with a recall system, use Dentrix electronic dental records, and maintain a high standard for infection control and patient education. This role requires a self-sufficient, team-oriented professional willing to work without a dedicated hygiene assistant and report directly to the Dental Office Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodontal maintenance and patient assessments
• Provide patient education on oral health and hygiene
• Maintain accurate record keeping using Dentrix software
• Capture radiographic images and assist with dental radiography
• Manage patient recall system efficiently
• Adhere to sterilization procedures and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist license
• CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in periodontal maintenance
• Local anesthesia administration certification
• Proficiency in dental radiography
• Familiarity with Dentrix software and Dentrix Imaging Center
