Summary: The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by performing a variety of manual and logistical tasks. This role assists with receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing materials while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, operating material-handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse team members as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Receive, inspect, document, and organize incoming deliveries.
  • Pick, pack, document, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Stage and move materials to support shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual material handling as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Accurately count and verify products and materials.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience (stand-up forklift experience preferred).
  • Ability to work the required schedule, including built-in overtime and Saturday shifts as needed.
  • Flexibility to travel between company warehouse locations as needed.
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading trucks.
  • Familiarity with standard warehouse documentation and inventory procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Verbal and Written communication in English.
  • Previous experience working in a construction-related environment.
  • Stand-up forklift experience.

Additional Requirements:

Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance or proper equipment.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead to handle materials and perform warehouse tasks.
  • Use hands and fingers to grasp, handle, and operate tools, equipment, and warehouse technology.
  • Climb ladders or step stools as needed to retrieve or store materials.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment requiring coordination and control of hand and foot movements.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as lifting, scanning, sorting, and packing materials.
  • Maintain visual acuity sufficient to read labels, shipping documents, and safety warnings.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent movement and physical activity.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise typical of warehouse operations.
  • Regular interaction with forklifts, moving equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, and high-visibility vests as required.
