Job Description

Treatment Coordinator – Aesthetic & Implant Dental Practice

James Martin, DMD Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry | Lafayette, CO
$26–$30/hour | Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek | No Weekends

James Martin, DMD Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry is looking for an exceptional Treatment Coordinator to join our team.

We are a private, comprehensive dental practice providing an elevated level of care and patient experience. Many of our patients come to us for comprehensive, cosmetic, implant, and complex dental treatment, and we take pride in creating an experience that is personal, organized, thoughtful, and different from a typical dental office.

We're looking for someone who is exceptional with people: confident, personable, highly organized, persuasive without being pushy, and genuinely interested in helping patients feel comfortable making important decisions about their care.

Sales Experience Is Highly Valued

Dental experience is not required, and we do not necessarily prefer dental experience over strong sales experience.

In fact, candidates with backgrounds in consultative sales, luxury retail, hospitality, aesthetics, medical sales, real estate, high-end customer service, or other relationship-based sales environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

The right person knows how to listen, understand what matters to someone, build trust, explain value, address concerns, and confidently ask for a decision.

We are not looking for aggressive or transactional sales. Dentistry is healthcare, and our approach is centered around helping patients understand their options and make informed decisions that are right for them.

Dental terminology and clinical processes can be taught. Exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence, drive, and the ability to connect with people are much harder to teach.

About the Role

As our Treatment Coordinator, you will guide patients through the treatment process after the doctor has made clinical recommendations.

You'll help patients understand the proposed treatment, discuss financial options, answer non-clinical questions, coordinate appointments, follow up with patients who are considering treatment, and make sure patients feel supported from consultation through completion of care.

Some treatment plans can represent a significant financial investment. You must be comfortable discussing money professionally and confidently while helping patients understand the value of the care being recommended.

This is also not strictly a front-office position.

The person we hire must be willing to learn dental assisting responsibilities and step into the clinical environment when needed. We believe our strongest team members understand how the entire practice functions and are willing to support one another.

We will train the right person.

Responsibilities

Treatment Coordination & Case Acceptance

  • Present treatment plans and financial arrangements clearly and confidently

  • Help patients understand the sequence, logistics, and investment associated with treatment

  • Build trust and help patients work through questions or concerns

  • Discuss payment and financing options

  • Schedule comprehensive and multi-visit treatment

  • Follow up consistently with patients considering treatment

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient communication

  • Track treatment acceptance and follow-up

  • Coordinate communication between patients, the doctor, and the clinical team

  • Ensure patients feel supported throughout their treatment journey

Patient Experience

  • Deliver an exceptionally warm, professional, and personalized experience

  • Anticipate patient needs

  • Communicate confidently with a wide range of personalities

  • Handle questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy

  • Follow through on commitments

  • Pay attention to the small details that distinguish an elevated patient experience

Clinical Cross-Training

  • Learn dental terminology and procedures

  • Learn basic dental assisting responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor and clinical team when needed

  • Help with room preparation and turnover

  • Learn dental materials, technology, and office protocols

  • Be willing to step outside of your primary responsibilities when the team needs support

Who Will Thrive Here

We maintain high standards for patient experience, teamwork, organization, and everyday workflow.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in that kind of environment.

You'll likely thrive here if you:

  • Have a strong background in sales, relationship management, hospitality, or high-level customer service

  • Are naturally comfortable talking with people

  • Know how to build rapport and establish trust

  • Are comfortable discussing significant financial decisions

  • Can confidently ask patients to move forward without being pushy

  • Listen well and understand the concerns behind someone's questions

  • Have excellent attention to detail

  • Are highly organized and dependable

  • Take ownership of your responsibilities

  • Follow through without repeated reminders

  • Are coachable and receive feedback well

  • Implement feedback rather than becoming defensive about it

  • Want to continually improve your performance

  • Notice when a teammate needs help and step in

  • Stay productive without needing constant direction

  • Are willing to learn skills outside your primary role

  • Take pride in contributing to an efficient, organized workplace

  • Want to be part of a team with high expectations for one another

We aren't looking for perfection. We are looking for someone who cares about doing excellent work and wants feedback that helps them become better at what they do.

Experience

Strong sales or customer-facing experience is highly preferred.

Dental experience is welcome but not required. We are willing to teach dentistry to an exceptional candidate with the right communication skills, work ethic, emotional intelligence, and ability to learn.

Experience in any of the following may translate particularly well:

  • Consultative or relationship-based sales

  • Luxury retail

  • Medical or aesthetic sales

  • Hospitality

  • Real estate

  • High-end customer service

  • Patient or client coordination

  • Dental treatment coordination

Compensation & Benefits

$26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

In addition to competitive hourly compensation, we offer:

  • Four-day workweek

  • No weekends

  • Health insurance

  • Complimentary dental care

  • Paid time off

  • Potential bonus opportunities

  • On-the-job dental and clinical training

  • Opportunities to expand your responsibilities and professional skills

  • A modern, comprehensive dental environment

  • The opportunity to work closely with a team that values quality, collaboration, growth, and exceptional patient care

About Our Practice

James Martin, DMD Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry provides comprehensive dental care with an emphasis on long-term health, aesthetics, implant dentistry, and complex treatment.

Rather than focusing on high-volume dentistry, we take the time to understand each patient's needs, develop thoughtful treatment plans, and provide highly personalized care.

Our team works closely together, and every team member contributes to both the patient experience and the success of the practice.

Schedule: Full-time, four days per week. No weekends.

If you are an exceptional communicator who enjoys helping people make important decisions, wants to learn something new, and is looking for a position where high standards, teamwork, and professional growth are valued, we'd love to hear from you.
