Our front desk medical assistant will be performing administrative tasks as well as supporting the clinical team. The other members of the team are willing to train our new team member, and we value effort, attendance, and a team-oriented mentality greatly.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Update electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
  • Insurance verification
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage check-ins.
  • Answer phone calls, triage, and route messages.

Clinical Responsibilities (based upon patient volume)

  • Measure vital signs like blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
  • Prep patients for exams and explain procedures.
  • Collect lab specimens and perform basic tests..

Job Requirements & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma plus a postsecondary medical assistant certificate or training program or college degree.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or college degree
  • Skills: Strong communication, active listening, basic computer literacy, and detail organization
