Barton Mines Company is actively hiring a Process Equipment Operator to join our North Creek, NY operation.

We offer competitive pay ranging starting at $20.00–$21.40 per hour, based on shift assignment, with opportunities for growth through on-the-job training.

This position works a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, 4 days on and 4 days off; 5:00am to 5:00pm and 5:00pm to 5:00am.

Job Summary

As a Process Equipment Operator, we rely on you to operate Ruby Mill equipment, which includes different circuits aiding in the separation process and includes: ball mills, spirals and float. Knowledge of industrial machine operation and minor equipment maintenance is important to ensure that garnet production is maximized. You are dedicated to excellence, so pride yourself in being detail-oriented and meeting and/or exceeding our world-class quality measures.

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Track record of safe work performance including an adequate understanding of safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of an industrial environment including lifting, walking, climbing stairs, frequently lifting 55lbs and standing on concrete floors, etc
  • Can read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Previous industrial experience preferred
  • Willing and able to work up to 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and overtime
