Position Summary


A behavioral health provider in Phoenix is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to lead and support our Outpatient Clinic. This role involves direct counseling, clinical oversight, and staff guidance in a supportive, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is experienced in mental health, co-occurring disorders, and is confident in managing documentation, training, and program compliance.


We welcome candidates passionate about community-based behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and member-centered services. Supervision is offered for those in need of clinical hours.

Key Responsibilities


- Deliver individual and group therapy in accordance with member needs

- Provide clinical oversight and supervision to behavioral health staff

- Review and approve treatment plans, assessments, and clinical documentation

- Conduct clinical reviews and sign-offs for new admissions within established timeframes

- Offer clinical guidance during crisis interventions and escalated situations

- Facilitate bi-weekly clinical trainings for staff to meet licensing and agency standards

- Participate in incident debriefs, quality assurance, and corrective action processes

- Monitor clinical quality through regular walkthroughs and audits

- Collaborate across disciplines to support integrated, recovery-oriented care


Minimum Qualifications


- Master's degree in behavioral health or related field

- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting

- Must hold one of the following active Arizona licenses: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT, LAMFT, LBSW, LIAC (LISAC), or LAAC (LASAC)

- CPR and First Aid certification (required)

- Familiarity with EHR systems, service planning, and compliance standards

- Must have strong computer skills


Preferred Experience


- Supervisory or lead clinician experience

- Knowledge of AHCCCS behavioral health systems and Arizona licensure standards

- Work with SMI populations, residential care, or intensive outpatient services (IOP)

- Background in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, or CBT
