Group Facilitator
Job Description
Position Overview:
Paradigm Recovery Center is a startup behavioral health treatment center providing structured, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Group Facilitator plays a vital role in delivering therapeutic and psychoeducational group services within ASAM 2.5 and 2.1 levels of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Facilitation & Clinical Programming:
• Facilitate scheduled therapeutic and psychoeducational groups
• Deliver curriculum-based and process groups including relapse prevention, coping skills, psychoeducation, and life skills
• Manage group dynamics and maintain therapeutic boundaries
• Foster a safe, respectful, and recovery-oriented environment
Documentation & Compliance:
• Complete timely and accurate group notes in the electronic health record
• Document participation, progress, and clinical observations
• Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and professional standards
Collaboration & Teamwork:
• Work collaboratively with clinical, medical, and administrative staff
• Participate in team meetings and supervision
• Communicate safety or clinical concerns promptly
Program Development (Startup Environment):
• Assist with group curriculum development
• Support program growth and operational refinement
• Maintain flexibility and teamwork in a startup setting
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience facilitating groups in behavioral health or substance use settings
• Strong communication and group management skills
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in behavioral health-related field
• Missouri-recognized credential or license (CADC, QAP, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
• Experience in ASAM 2.1 and/or 2.5 programs
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, MI)
Schedule Expectations:
• Daytime, evening, and occasional weekend hours
• Flexibility required based on program needs
Physical & Professional Requirements:
• Ability to lead groups for extended periods
• Maintain professional boundaries
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
