Clinical Director LISW-S
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Director to provide clinical services within our program at Glass City Behavioral Healthcare. This role is responsible for delivering individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, completing clinical documentation, and providing supervision oversight in accordance with state and accreditation standards. The Director bridges administrative /clinical functions, develops policies, and drives performance improvements. Key duties include supervising, mentoring clinical staff, and optimizing client outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients
- Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and clinical documentation
- Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed
- Provide clinical supervision and sign-off for staff working toward independent licensure
- Ensure all services are compliant comply with Ohio Administrative Code, Medicaid standards
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
- Oversee the performance of Clinical Supervisors, counselors, and interns to ensure that client care needs are identified and incorporated in the treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers to provide training to help ensure clinical staff are competent in providing treatment services.
- Identifies and communicates management decisions to staff.
- Oversee quality improvement activities including peer reviews and chart reviews.
- Attend clinical and administrative

- Provide clinical consultation/supervision to staff.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Qualifications:
- Active LISW license in the state of Ohio (required)
- LISW-S or LPCC-S preferred
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Experience in mental health treatment (children/adolescents preferred)
- Experience with behavioral health settings is a plus
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in working in the field of counseling, psychology, or social
- Clinical knowledge of theories and specific techniques of
- Supervisory skills and methods including multicultural
- Knowledge of community resources and the ability to employ knowledge in a clinically sound discharge plan for all client groups.
- Ability to organize a complex workload so that all pertinent issues are addressed in a timely fashion and documented when necessary, including basic computer skills
- Knowledge of various schools of individual therapy and the ability to use clinical knowledge to intervene therapeutically with difficult clients.
