Floater Break Coverage Assistant

Responsibilities:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:45 AM – 1:30 PM (Must be available for the full schedule Monday through Friday.)

• Provide coverage for assistant teacher breaks in four classrooms.
• Supervise and engage with children ages 3–5.
• Assist with classroom routines and activities as needed.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children.
• Work collaboratively with classroom staff.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for providing break coverage for assistant teachers in four preschool classrooms on a rotating schedule. You'll spend time in each classroom supporting teachers, supervising children, and helping maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to multitask and transition between classrooms.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks and meet New Jersey childcare employment requirements.

• Additional Hours Available:

  For applicants interested in more hours, we also have a part-time afternoon position available from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

  Candidates may apply for one position or, if qualified and interested, combine both schedules for additional weekly hours. We also offer substitute opportunities for those looking to pick up extra shifts.
