📋 Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support accounting, treasury, and financial reporting functions within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in treasury operations and debt management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Perform timely reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close processes
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend process improvements
• Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Reconcile daily cash activity and investigate variances
• Manage cash transfers, wire transactions, and cash records
• Support treasury operations, including debt management activities
• Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments
• Review vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and apply credits
• Maintain accurate vendor master records
• Assist with preparation of annual operating and capital budgets
• Upload and manage budgets within financial systems
• Prepare and communicate monthly close calendars and deadlines
• Collaborate with financial institutions, auditors, and internal finance teams
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal/external audits
• Identify accounting issues and internal control gaps; recommend solutions
• Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely, professional manner

🎯 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• CPA required
• Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience (10+ years strongly preferred)
• Strong background in treasury and debt management
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
