About This Role
Country Acres Early Learning and Child Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early learning team. As a Pre-K teacher, you will help children build foundational academic, social, and emotional skills through developmentally appropriate practices in a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment. This position is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about preparing young children for kindergarten and lifelong learning.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM. We offer a predictable and routine schedule weekly.

What You'll Do
- Develop and/or implement engaging lesson plans and play-based learning using Creative Curriculum (training provided)
- Create a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support children’s development through play-based and teacher-guided activities
- Observe and assess children’s progress; communicate regularly with families
- Maintain daily routines and support social-emotional learning
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and actively engage with children at their level
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Portable Background Check (PBC) through DCYF
- DCYF MERIT registration
- Proof of negative TB test
- First Aid/CPR, Food Handler’s Permit, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Within 90 days of hire, completion of:
- STARS 30-hour Initial Early Childhood Education training
- Health and Safety Trainings
Nice To Haves
- ECE Certificate or AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience with Creative Curriculum or similar play-based approaches
