The Infant Teacher at Children's Land is entrusted with the vital responsibility of nurturing the youngest members of our community. This role demands a passionate individual who is adept at fostering a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where infants can flourish both emotionally and intellectually. The candidate should be well-versed with the DCFS requirements in Illinois to ensure the highest standards of childcare are met.
Roles and Responsibilities:
%CF; Create and follow lesson plans that foster physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
%CF; Track infants' developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
%CF; Offer nurturing care, which includes feeding, changing diapers, and facilitating nap times.
%CF; Always uphold the safety of infants by strictly adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
%CF; Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
%CF; Communicate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and address any concerns.
%CF; Work harmoniously with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
%CF; Craft and utilize educational materials to stimulate infants' senses and encourage learning.
%CF; Organize activities that promote exploration and the development of motor skills.
%CF; Stay up to date with the latest developments in infant education and care.
Qualifications:
%CF; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
%CF; Previous experience working with infants or young children.
%CF; Knowledge of DCFS requirements in Illinois.
%CF; CPR and First Aid certification.
%CF; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
%CF; Patience and a genuine love for working with infants.

%CF; Stand for extended periods of time, run, and actively engage in play with children.
%CF; Balance multiple tasks simultaneously (feeding, teaching, supervising) while remaining attentive and responsive.
