Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets after opening its first café in Brookline, Massachusetts. What started as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into a beloved brand with cafés throughout Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and the Tri State area. THE ROLE

Our Counter Team Members welcome and care for guests in our cafés. They have a working knowledge of all Tatte products, deliver delicious savory dishes and pastries, operate the point-of-sale register, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.

We expect our Counter Team Members to:

• Have engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence
• Have a passion for our bakery and savory offerings and genuine hospitality
• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
• Live Tatte’s core values and help Tatte deliver on its mission
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide gracious and high-quality service to our guests by welcoming them to our cafés and engaging with them throughout their experience
• Determine guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
• Take guests’ orders using our point-of-sale system/register
• Execute all Tatte product and packaging standards
• Deliver coffee beverages and food to guests
• Maintain clean and well-stocked café stations
• Actively maintain and support café cleanliness and visual/brand standards
• Comply with and follow all safety and sanitation standards while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Ability to lift, move, and carry 50+ pounds
• Ability to work 8+ hours per day on your feet
