Safety Rep / Safety Advisor
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong construction EHS experience, ideally within large-scale greenfield construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with Principal Contractors / General Contractors (PC/GC) and client project teams.
- Proven experience overseeing and coordinating multiple contractors and subcontractors simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of OSHA construction safety requirements (29 CFR 1926).
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments/JHAs, and contractor safety reviews.
- Experience managing high-risk construction activities including work at height, lifting operations, excavation, electrical safety, LOTO, mobile equipment, hot work, and confined spaces.
- Ability to identify non-compliance, communicate corrective actions, and follow issues through to closure.
- Strong contractor engagement skills with the ability to challenge unsafe practices while maintaining effective working relationships with construction management.
- Experience participating in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and contractor EHS meetings.
- Strong incident reporting, investigation, and corrective-action management experience.
- Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced construction environment.
Required Certifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
- OSHA 500 – Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction
The successful candidate should be a visible, field-focused EHS professional capable of working closely with the client, PC/GC, project management, and multiple contractor organizations to maintain high EHS standards throughout construction, installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities
