About Us:
BDI Marine Contractors is a growing, family-owned marine construction company specializing in marine and heavy civil construction. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a hands-on Superintendent to help lead our field operations and keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.


Position Overview:
The Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and materials while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to completion
  • Manage and supervise field crews and subcontractors
  • Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and equipment
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Conduct daily reports, job logs, and progress tracking
  • Communicate regularly with project managers and office staff
  • Identify and resolve issues in the field quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project specifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in construction (marine experience preferred but not required)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel for projects if needed

Preferred Experience:

  • Marine construction (docks, seawalls, pile driving)
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Working around water and barges
