Park Meadows Health and Rehab Center is looking for Dietary staff.

Job Summary:

A Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals for residents in a nursing home. The role focuses on ensuring residents receive nutritious, safe, and properly prepared meals in accordance with dietary guidelines, physician orders, and state health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion food items according to menus and dietary plans

  • Serve meals and beverages to residents, including those with special dietary needs (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, pureed diets)

  • Assist residents who may need help eating (in some facilities)

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and food prep areas

  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines (per Florida health standards)

  • Store food properly and monitor temperatures

  • Work with dietary staff and healthcare team to meet residents’ nutritional needs

  • Report any issues with food quality or resident intake

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (often preferred, not always required)

  • Food handler certification (may be required in Florida or provided on the job)

  • Ability to follow instructions and dietary guidelines

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation

  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate weight

Work Environment:
