Job Description

Job Title: Sticker Placer
Department: Sawmill
Shift: M-Th 6:00AM-4:45PM Friday: Varies
Essential duties in this existing vacant position include, but are not limited to:
  • Lay sticks between layers of lumber
  • Tag packages after stacking
  • Strap packages
  • Keep up with mill production
  • Provide training for laborers new to the Timberdock area
  • Maintain area housekeeping and cleaning
  • Work cooperatively with other employees in a team oriented environment
  • Follow haz-com and all other safety procedures
  • Willingness to support other areas of the department, as needed
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as necessary
  • Follow safe work practices
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have hand and eye coordination
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to prioritize duties and maintain schedule requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to keep up with mill production
  • Ability to work in a rapid paced environment and maintain quality standards
  • Ability to judge lengths
  • Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to use a joystick and foot pedals
  • Ability to lift and maneuver stickers and lumber
  • Ability to work in a rapid paced environment and maintain quality standards
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, twist, push, pull, reach overhead, climb a ladder, walk and squat
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to frequently move/handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces
  • Must have manual dexterity, visual acuity and depth perception
