What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Safety Director and working closely with plant leadership, this role serves as the onsite safety expert responsible for driving a strong safety culture, reducing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work directly with employees in the field, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.

You’ll work directly with employees in the field, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for safety programs, regulatory interpretation, and policy development
- Lead and support initiatives that reduce serious injury and fatality exposure
- Manage compliance with safety standards and oversee field verification of critical controls
- Deliver newhire orientations, monthly safety meetings, and ongoing training
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures and report gaps to leadership
- Coordinate communication of safety information across the site
- Partner with management to establish safety goals, metrics, and improvement plans
- Support incident prevention efforts and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
- Participate in and help lead the site Safety Committee
- Maintain a strong presence in the field, building relationships and reinforcing safe work practices
Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience leading safety programs in a heavy industrial or mining environment
- 2+ years of MSHArelated experience strongly preferred
- Training or experience in dust/silica and noise sampling is a plus
- Minimal travel required, with occasional visits to other sites as needed
