Registered Dental Hygienist
Location: Southern Dental Birmingham
Position Type: Full-Time
Southern Dental Birmingham is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! We are looking for a patient-focused professional who is dedicated to providing high-quality preventive care and creating a positive patient experience.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- One Friday per month (rotating): 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings
- Take and review dental X-rays as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist in identifying treatment needs and communicating recommendations
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license required
- Must have experience performing patient cleanings within the last 3 years
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and patient education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
