Registered Nurse (RN) - Avir at Hico- Night Shift
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at Avir at Hico, a long-term care facility in Hico, Texas. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents while promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Job Summary:
As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents while supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned unit. You will ensure that the nursing services policies and procedures manual is followed by nursing personnel and that it reflects the day-to-day nursing care procedures always used by our facility.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned unit, ensuring that all care is provided in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of our residents.
Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of infection control and universal precautions to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained.
Monitor and report all incidents and accidents immediately, and correct all unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment immediately.
Provide guidance and support to nursing personnel, including counseling and disciplining as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information and ensure that resident's property and personal rights are always followed by your personnel.
Participate in the comprehensive assessment of the nursing needs of each resident in your assigned area and participate in the development of the care plan.
Requirements:
Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license in the State of Texas.
Knowledgeable in rehabilitative and restorative practices.
Must possess a working knowledge of long-term care operational standards as set forth in the Federal Register, Conditions of participation and State Regulations.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
Ability to remain calm under stress, function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
