Job Summary

Seeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter for a shipyard in Bourg, LA. Candidates must be skilled in reading blueprints, fitting structural steel, and assembling vessel components safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of shipfitting experience
• Ability to read marine blueprints and drawings
• Experience with fitting tools, torches, and grinders
• Able to pass a hands-on test
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Able to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• NCCER or trade certification
• Aluminum and steel vessel experience
• Gulf Coast shipyard experience
