As a Behavioral Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting children with autism and mental health diagnoses in building life skills, communicating, engaging socially, and learning strategies to manage their behavior. Guided by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), you'll use evidence-based practices to create positive change - one interaction at a time!Essential Job DutiesProvide direct 1:1 behavior support to children/adolescence wherever needed (school, home, or day-care)Implement individualized treatment plans approved by a BCBACollaboration with other community-based team members, including the assigned BSCStudy all relevant records regarding the VIP you are assignedTeach functional skills such as communication, daily living, vocational readiness, and coping strategiesCollect clear, accurate data to track progress and guide treatment decisions.Support adults in achieving meaningful goals-whether that's navigating the community, building relationships, or increasing self-advocacyUse creative problem-solving and compassion to overcome challenges and celebrate successesCollaborate with an upbeat, supportive team committed to professional growth and client-centered careAccurately complete all documentation and reports of individuals (progress notes, recording data, mileage logs) and hand them in promptly when dueMaintaining a good rapport with VIPs families continuallyCompleting 24 hours of the required annual trainingHave reliable transportation to get to and from work, as well as to transport VIPs when neededUtilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, engage in supervision and training, and collaborate with the team, staff members, and families on the strategies outlined in the behavior planPhysical RequirementsMust be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 poundsEducation and Experience RequirementsPrevious professional and/or personal experience working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred, but not required.Valid driver's license and car insuranceRBT 40 hour training completed within 2 weeks of hire, facilitation, training, and supervision is provided by RBL BHBenefitsVision InsuranceDental InsuranceFlexible SchedulesAbility to advance within the companyWhat Makes This Role Exciting:Every day is different!
