Pay: $13.50–$14.50 per hour, depending on experience

The Boys & Girls Club of the Big Country is looking for a dependable, energetic, and positive Assistant Club Director to help lead our Highland Boys & Girls Club.
The Assistant Club Director works closely with the Club Director to help provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where youth can learn, grow, and have fun. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Club Director with the daily operation of the Club.
  • Help supervise, support, and coach Youth Development Professionals.
  • Provide active supervision of Club members and ensure their safety.
  • Help lead and implement engaging programs and activities.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and daily coverage.
  • Build positive relationships with youth, parents, and staff.
  • Help address member behavior and parent concerns professionally.
  • Assist with attendance, incident reports, and other required records.
  • Help with Club events, field trips, and special activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Club environment.
  • Serve as the Club Director's backup when needed.
  • Follow all Boys & Girls Club of the Big Country safety and operational policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working with children or teens required.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, positive, patient, and energetic.
  • Ability to work effectively with youth, families, and staff.
  • Must successfully complete required background checks and training.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
