Graduate Assistant - School of Psychology
Job Description
Position Summary
This Graduate Assistant position involves working with Prof. Marcia Pasqualini in the Psychology department at Avila University. The position is for 3 credit hours of tuition remission per semester (working 110 hours per semester; 7.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with developing and facilitating class activities in undergraduate biopsychology courses and psychology of communication courses.
- Assisting with Psi Chi/Psychology Club (for undergraduate and graduate students).
- Assisting undergraduate students in accessing secondary databases for clinical research.
- Helping to review/edit research documents and other duties as needed in the research lab.
Qualifications:
- Must be admitted and enrolled in a graduate program at Avila University. International students are not eligible for graduate assistantships.
- Admitted and enrolled in the MS Counseling Psychology program at Avila University
- Interest in clinically-relevant research and/or teaching.
- Previous experience with teaching, research and clinical populations is helpful, but will train as needed.
- Initiative to work on tasks or request tasks when there aren’t any immediate tasks to be done.
- Work independently and efficiently on assigned tasks, providing updates regularly on progress.
