Our successful hotel is seeking a dedicated assistant banquet manager who is eager to provide our guests with an unforgettable event experience. The assistant banquet manager helps run food and drink events like weddings and meetings. Key duties include supervising staff, setting up rooms, and helping guests.


Compensation:

$65,000 - $67,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Event Oversight: Supervise room setups, food service, and clean-up.

  • Staff Leadership: Train, schedule, and direct banquet servers and captains.

  • Team Communication: Work with the kitchen and sales teams to match event orders.

  • Guest Relations: Greet hosts, check on service quality, and fix complaints.

  • Inventory Control: Order supplies, track china and silver, and manage liquor stock.




Qualifications:
  • Experience: High school diploma plus two years in food service or event management.

  • Leadership: Past supervisory experience in a hotel or catering setting.

  • Physical Needs: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Skills: Good communication, basic computer use, and time management.
