Salary: $52,000 annually

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is looking for a Critical Home Repair Program Manager. This role works independently to oversee the rehabilitation of homes for income-qualified seniors, veterans, and disabled homeowners across Knox County. The CHR manager handles all homeowner pre-qualifications, schedules contractors, closes outeach project, andcoordinates with community partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Application Management:Facilitatethe intake process by receiving and processing repair applications from homeowners ensuring that data entry isaccurateand all required paperwork is completed for grant requirements.
  • Homeowner Communication:Engage with homeownersby phone and in personto clarifyqualifyinginformation, address inquiries, and schedule home visits for assessment, consultation, and inspections.
  • Project Coordination:Manage multiple repair projects simultaneously,maintainsubcontractor correspondence,andnurture community partnerships to ensure efficient andtimelycompletion of repair projects.
  • Home Visits:Conduct in-home assessments to evaluate repair needs, discuss project scopes, qualify homeowners, andestablishtimelines that align with both the homeowner and contractors.
  • Grant Compliance:Oversee the implementation of the CHR Program ensuring that supporting documentation and project timelines meet the current grant requirements.
  • File and Data Management:Maintainall homeownerdocumentsand protect confidentiality of records.Track incomingprogramreferralscaptured through email, phone, and community partners.
  • Reporting:Preparemonthly,quarterly,and yearly reports to grantors and KHFH Board Members tracking the success of the CHR program.
  • Research:Stayup-to-dateon Fair Housing, HUD Guidelines,Knox Co.affordable housingresources,Funder updates, andissuespertaining toseniors aging in place
  • Professional Development:Seek opportunities to grow by attending in-state and out-of-statetraining coursesand conferencesto better develop this role.
  • DepartmentSupport:Crosscollaboration,consensusbuilding in department decisionmaking,agencyand communityparticipation,Family Servicescommitteeparticipation
  • CommunityPartnerships:Becomefamiliar withHELOCandothersmallloanproducts,workwith community partnersofferingthese productstorefersuitedapplicants, be familiar withother repair services in the community forreferralandcollaborationpurposes.
  • Survey Administration:Possiblerolegrowth to administerfollow up surveys

MinimumQualifications:

  • Bachelors degreefroman accredited college or university in asocialsciencerelated area, including, but not limited to, Sociology, Social Work,orPsychologyand/or equivalentpractical experienceworking in affordable housing servingvulnerablecommunities
  • Knowledge and experienceworking with diverse populations with sensitivity to culture, race,gender,age, ability, ethnicity, and socio-economic status
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Officeand Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellentwritten andverbal skills tocommunicateacrossdepartments andwitha varietyofstakeholders
  • Ability to work independentlytoconsistentlymeet grant deadlines and program goals
  • Priority forbuilding andmaintainingpositive working relationshipswith staff, contractors,funders,and homeowners
  • Strong interpersonal skillsandcomfortwithvisiting homeownerresidencesto offerclear, patient, and respectfulassistancewithprogram application
  • Ability to manage detailedinformation, homeowner files, andmaintainconfidentiality
  • Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Regular, predictableattendancerequired
