Job Summary:

Cedar Hill Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a caring and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Follow daily activities calendars and updates to ensure a seamless experience for our residents

• Encourage resident participation in activities, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting life enrichment programs and events

  • Assisting with recreational activities, such as games, arts, and crafts

  • Organizing outings and trips

  • Facilitating social events and activities that promote socialization and connection

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activities that align with resident preferences and goals

• Complete room visits and 1:1 visits with residents to assess their interests and needs

• Update the activity log for each resident daily, ensuring accurate and detailed records

• Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure that activities are incorporated into each resident's plan of care

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
