We are currently partnering with a manufacture located in the Dayton Ohio area this is looking for an EH&S Manager. The EHS Manager is responsible for developing and implementing proactive environmental, health, and safety strategies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety across the facility. This is a high-visibility EH&S leadership opportunity supporting the companys lowest-performing site, which has only been in operation for roughly 18 months and is still very much in a growth and stabilization phase. The environment is fairly green, with a younger workforce that will require a hands-on leader who can coach, reinforce expectations, and bring consistency to day-to-day EH&S execution. This is not a role for someone expecting a polished, fully mature operationits a role for someone who can lead through ambiguity, build trust, and create a structure where its still developing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategies to reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and associated costs while improving overall safety performance.

  • Drive initiatives to minimize regulatory compliance risk and reduce costs tied to non-compliance.

  • Evaluate the work environment for physical, chemical, biological, and environmental hazards, and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.

  • Conduct safety assessments, audits, and incident investigations; recommend improvements, corrective actions, and PPE requirements as needed.

  • Assist in the investigation of EHS complaints and incidents.

  • Provide technical EHS support for day-to-day operations, process changes, new equipment, facility expansions, and contractor activities.

  • Ensure plant policies, procedures, and practices remain compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

  • Develop, manage, and deliver plant-wide EHS training programs while reinforcing policies, procedures, and safe work practices across the workforce.

  • Partner with plant leadership and department managers to resolve safety concerns, coach supervisors, and drive behavioral and cultural improvements in safety performance.

  • Maintain OSHA and other required EHS records, reporting, and documentation while sharing best practices and supporting broader company EHS initiatives.

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in contacts with plant and corporate employees

  • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent required.

  • OSHA, ASP or CSP certifications preferred

  • Masters degree in related field preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
