Job Summary:

As a key member of our foodservice team, the Food Service Director will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care through exceptional culinary experiences. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of dietary staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient meals and snacks

  • Develop and implement dietary menus that cater to patients' nutritional needs and preferences

  • Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

  • Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient meal orders

  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting to minimize waste and optimize resources

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events, parties, and functions for patients, visitors, and staff

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs as required by regulatory agencies and organizational policies

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or foodservice setting

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise and motivate staff

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical demands of the job

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in foodservice management, nutrition, or a related field preferred
