General Laborer – Manufacturing
Location: Alsip, IL 60803
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Hours: 8 am – 5 pm

Job Summary
The Company is a premier manufacturer of industrial-grade bolts, custom fasteners, and hot/cold forged products. We are looking for a reliable and hard-working General Laborer to join our production team in Alsip, IL. In this role, you will support daily manufacturing operations, assist machine operators, and ensure a safe, efficient warehouse environment. No prior fastener experience is required—we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Production Support: Assist with the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment, including cold-heading, hot-forging, and CNC machinery.
- Material Handling: Move raw materials, steel rods, and finished fastener products safely throughout the facility using pallet jacks or by hand.
- Quality Inspection: Visually inspect finished products (bolts, nuts, studs) for defects and ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Packaging & Sorting: Sort, count, and package industrial fasteners into boxes or crates for shipping.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by sweeping debris, clearing scrap metal, and organizing tools.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and a team-player attitude.
- Reliability: Dependable transportation to our Alsip facility and a strong record of punctuality.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment that can be loud and variable in temperature depending on the season.
