Project Executive – Water/Wastewater Construction The Project Executive plays a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering large-scale water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects. This senior leadership position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities across Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and the Baltimore area. About the Projects Projects are primarily industrial infrastructure developments, including:
- Water treatment plants
- Wastewater treatment facilities
- Flood resilience infrastructure
- Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and follow-up to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient project execution.
- Project Oversight – Manage subcontractors and optimize the utilization of self-performing trades.
- Leadership & Team Management – Lead and coordinate a high-performing project team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and project goals.
- Strategic Project Planning – Define objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards, ensuring projects adhere to corporate and client guidelines.
- Budget & Schedule Compliance – Oversee financial aspects of contracts, ensuring profitability while maintaining adherence to timelines.
- Problem Resolution & Technical Expertise – Provide technical guidance, resolve challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders, including governmental agencies and subcontractors.
- Mentorship & Growth – Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and leadership.
- Market Strategy & Business Development – Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives within the water/wastewater construction sector.
- Education – Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Certifications – PE and/or DBIA credentialing preferred but not required.
- Industry Experience – 10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience, with expertise in contracts, design, finance, and project management.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Deep understanding of industry best practices, regulations, and policies.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic problem-solving and business acumen.
- Ability to effectively interface with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
