We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team at The Sentinel of Rockland, a luxurious assisted-living community nestled in the picturesque hills of Rockland County in Upstate New York.
About the Role:
As an Activity Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and stimulating environment for our residents. You will assist in the planning and implementation of recreational activities, social events, and outings, designed to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Your role will also involve interacting with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and coordinating activities, events, and outings for residents
Lead and participate in recreational activities, such as exercise classes, games, and hobbies
Engage with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and tailor activities to meet their needs
Maintain accurate records of resident events and activities
Provide support to residents with daily living skills.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff
Plan and assist in implementing the decoration of the facility for special events, seasons and holidays.
Identify needed supplies for planned activities, and submit to Activity Director.
Requirements:
0 years of experience in the healthcare or senior living industry (training provided)
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Passionate about providing exceptional customer service
