About the Role:
Care for Kids is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to lead the day-to-day clinical and operational performance of our clinic.
This is a hands-on leadership position combining clinical care and clinic management. The Clinical Manager works alongside the clinical team while overseeing staffing, scheduling, compliance, team development, inventory, patient experience, and overall clinic performance.
The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical professional who is comfortable leading people, solving operational challenges, and stepping into patient care when needed.
As a Clinical Manager, this role could include:
- Work scheduled clinical shifts and provide hands-on patient care within applicable scope of practice.
- Support the clinical team during high-volume periods and help address staffing gaps and call-ins.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and identify operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure the clinic operates in accordance with established clinical, operational, safety, and compliance standards.
- Conduct weekly inventory reviews and coordinate medical and office supply orders.
- Complete required operational reports accurately and on time.
- Address patient concerns and monitor patient experience, including NPS results and reviews.
- Develop and maintain monthly clinic schedules in coordination with regional Clinical Managers.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels while proactively managing overtime.
- Coordinate coverage for absences, call-ins, and changing clinic needs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to review candidates and participate in second- and third-round interviews.
- Support ongoing hiring and workforce planning for the clinic.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to clinic team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and provide timely performance feedback.
- Lead monthly staff meetings covering operational updates, policies, emergency procedures, and clinical skills.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and Care for Kids' core values.
Required Competencies:
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- 3+ years of medical office or clinical operations experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with staff scheduling, coaching, patient flow, and day-to-day clinic operations.
- Ability to provide hands-on clinical support while managing administrative responsibilities.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Flexible availability, including on-call support as needed.
Preferred:
- Current Texas RN license.
- 5+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience.
- Pediatric or urgent care experience.
- Experience with EMR and online patient check-in platforms.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Clinic Hours:
DFW and Austin:
Monday - Friday: 12:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday - Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Houston:
Monday - Sunday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
