Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel) in Cambridge, MA. Start date 09/15/2026 for a 12-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with rotating weekends every other weekend and holiday coverage required. Weekly pay range: $2,532–$2,637. Assignment in an inpatient labor and delivery unit within a hospital setting. Local candidates within 50 miles may be eligible for a local rate ($8 less per week than posted). Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment of maternal and fetal status, vital signs, and labor progression.
- Administer medications and manage anesthesia-related care per physician orders; monitor fetal heart rate patterns and intervene as appropriate.
- Document care and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR) with accuracy (EPIC experience preferred).
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure patient safety and timely, evidence-based care.
- Assist with admission, triage, delivery, and discharge planning; support newborn care and family education; participate in ongoing patient and family communication.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and participate in code/patient safety protocols; maintain infection control standards and safety for both patients and staff.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (Nursys verification pulled within the last 7 days) showing ALL licenses; address on file must match demographics
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; ability to work in an inpatient Labor & Delivery unit
- EMR experience preferred (EPIC highly preferred); submission must include an up-to-date resume with 2+ years L&D experience and documentation of travel experience
- 2 recent L&D Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references
- RTO request must be included at submission and will not be guaranteed after confirmation
- Must be able to work every other major holiday
