Job Description
A day in the life

Location: Hastings, MI

You arrive on the production floor, pull up the latest engineering drawings, and map out your build for the day. You’ll fit and fasten aircraft structures, integrate systems, and perform precise quality checks to ensure every component meets stringent aviation standards. When something isn’t quite right, you diagnose the issue, make the repair or adjustment, and document the work so the next technician has a clear handoff. Throughout the shift, you partner closely with teammates to refine processes, boost efficiency, and keep safety front and center. You wrap up by logging parts used, updating maintenance records, and reviewing new training modules to stay current with evolving technologies.

What you’ll work on
  • Build and integrate aircraft components and systems following specifications, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform thorough inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with aviation safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues; execute corrective repairs and fine-tune adjustments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline assembly workflows and improve overall efficiency.
  • Accurately document work performed and parts consumed during assembly and maintenance.
  • Uphold all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe, organized work area.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay aligned with industry standards and new technologies.
What you’ll bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or degree in aviation maintenance is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in aircraft assembly, maintenance, or a closely related mechanical field.
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and keen attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-first approach.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including overtime when required.
Technical strengths
