FORKLIFT OPERATOR / YARD ASSISTANT

Part time

25 hours a week: 3 days a week or 5 hours per day

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operate a forklift to safely move materials, scrap bins, and recycling containers throughout the facility.
Assist machine operators by loading and unloading materials as needed.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the shop by sweeping work areas and removing debris.
Collect, separate, and dispose of scrap materials in designated recycling containers.
Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
Restock restroom and break room supplies.
Perform routine forklift maintenance, including greasing equipment, checking fluid levels, and refueling.
Organize materials, equipment, and work areas to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop and yard.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous forklift experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus or willingness to become certified.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, walking, and standing throughout the shift.
Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine forklift maintenance.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/shop environment and follow all company safety procedures.
