Position SummaryThe Braider Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of braiding equipment to support production needs.Essential FunctionsPerform preventative maintenance on braider machines, including oiling, greasing, and routine inspectionsDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure proper machine operation and minimize downtimeRepair and rebuild braider equipment including replacement of mechanical componentsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all braider equipmentMonitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they impact productionMaintain inventory of necessary lubricants, parts, and supplies required for ongoing maintenanceCommunicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel regarding equipment status and repair needsSafely operate tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repair tasksMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and understand basic mechanical diagrams, manuals, or instructionsAbility to record and document data appropriatelyAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, oils, and lubricantsAbility to follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with company standardsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend at the knees and at waist level, twist, stoop, crouch, reach with a singular or both arms/hands above shoulder level, and at shoulder level, perform repetitive arm/hand movements and grasp singular or with both hands frequentlyAbility to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. occasionallyAbility to climb occasionallyAbility to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential function of this position.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementVarflex Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
