About This Role
ABC & LOL Childcare Center is a 5-STAR Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program proudly serving families in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. We are excited to welcome a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated early childhood professional who values meaningful relationships and high-quality preschool experiences.
The ideal candidate holds a current Vermont teaching license and has at least two years of classroom experience, along with a genuine passion for supporting young children’s growth through engaging, developmentally appropriate, and joyful learning.
What You'll Do
- clear communication with coworkers and families

- foster positive relationships with children and families
- plan weekly and execute classroom activities to help promote age-appropriate learning
- maintain a current list of food sensitivities/feeding schedule and children's specific needs and any particulars
- fill out daily reports for parents, including any incident and/or accident reports
- work with assistant teacher to maintain a clean, safe, and engaging workspace
- create a monthly newsletter for families to communicate upcoming events and classroom activities
- hold parent/teacher conferences twice a year
- complete TS Gold assessments UPK
- work in collaboration with fellow preschool teachers to create a cohesive team and shared curriculum
Requirements
The right candidate will need a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Special education, or other related field and a current VT state license with the correct certification. They must also hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
As per center policy, all employees must complete a minimum of 50 hours professional development yearly, maintain current 1st aid and CPR certification, and complete the following trainings:
VT orientation training
Mandated reporting
Medication administration
Basic specialized care

All guidelines and policies outlined in the employee handbook must also be followed, including being familiar with the Child Care Licensing Regulations set forth by the State of Vermont. All employees must be able to pass a background records check and fingerprint check..
