$1000 sign on bonus! Hope Clinic for Women is looking for a part-time Obstetrical
Sonographer for immediate hire!


Position Type:
Part-Time / 22-24 hours per week.

Typical schedule:
Three days per week. Must include Friday's and 2 other work days of your choice within our clinic hours noted below.

Regular clinic hours are 8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday -Thursday and 8:30AM - 2:30PM on Friday. Other hours as needed for client services.


Salary:
Hourly position at $35 - $37/hr

Job Description: We are seeking a registered sonographer with experience in Obstetrics to support our growing clinical need for early first trimester ultrasounds. We are seeking someone who can balance clinical expertise with empathy, an educational mindset, and compassion for the patients we serve in unplanned and often difficult pregnancies. We are looking for someone to model our values of being life-affirming and medically accurate in all patient engagements.

Patient Care

  • Consult with patient to review their medical history and explain the ultrasound procedure following a positive pregnancy test by clinical staff
  • Analyze the results of the ultrasound scan to assess the gestational age, presence or absence of fetal heart rate, fetal length and pregnancy location
  • Maintain appropriate and timely documentation in Athena
  • Collaborate with radiologist to evaluate sonogram results
  • Cleaning and sterilization following each patient
  • Ensure the ultrasound equipment is maintained in good working order and comply with safety regulations and standards
  • Provide follow-up with clients and referrals as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including MD’s, nurses, clinical counselors, pregnancy advocates and other sonographers
  • Provides back-up coverage for pregnancy tests when needed;
  • Provide early pre-natal education

Degree/license/experience requirement

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Associate or Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years minimal clinical experience preferred
  • Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Proficiency in sonography equipment and software
  • Excellent patient service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
