Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our Construction Law practice. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys representing owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and lenders in a wide range of construction-related matters. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal filings.
  • Assist attorneys with construction contract preparation, revisions, and document management.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files.
  • Coordinate court filings, service of process, and document submissions in state and federal courts.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and client consultations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors.
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain litigation and project calendars.
  • Monitor and organize emails
  • Prepare expense reports, and time entry as needed.
  • Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience; construction law or litigation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document preparation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
  • Strong typing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with construction litigation or commercial litigation.
  • Experience with electronic court filing systems.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $60,000- $70,000, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
