Compensation & Work Details
$25–$30/hour, depending on experience
• Full-time schedule, approximately 40 hours per week
• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–3:45 PM (lunch break included)
• Day starts and ends at the JMC office in Farmingdale, NJ
• Local travel to jobsites, vendors, and suppliers across Central and Northern New Jersey
• Company vehicle used during the workday
• Company iPad provided
• Union calendar — union holidays off

Who We Are

Jersey Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is a mechanical contractor supporting active jobsites across New Jersey. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Driver / Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to help keep materials, tools, vehicles, safety supplies, and jobsite support moving smoothly.

This is a practical, field-support role for someone who likes variety, can stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working between the office, warehouse, vendors, and active construction sites.

The Role

The Driver / Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator will support daily material deliveries, vendor pick-ups, warehouse organization, tool and asset tracking, fleet coordination, and jobsite safety support.

The right candidate will have a clean driving record, strong follow-through, attention to detail, and the flexibility to adapt as jobsite needs change throughout the day.

What You’ll Do

Deliver materials and documents to and between active jobsites
Pick up materials from vendors throughout Central and Northern New Jersey
Return overstock and unused materials to vendors as needed
• Support day-to-day logistics needs for active construction projects
• Help organize, oversee, and improve the JMC warehouse, tools, materials, and assets
• Track tools and equipment using software, labels, and jobsite inventory processes
• Check tools and equipment back into the warehouse after jobs are completed
• Help educate field staff on tool and equipment tracking procedures
• Assist with care, paperwork, and basic coordination for the JMC vehicle fleet
• Help develop preventative maintenance schedules for vehicles, consumable materials, and tools
• Support jobsite safety needs, including PPE stock, first aid supplies, and posted safety plans
• Review site safety plans and help monitor compliance through jobsite visits
• Help document accidents, incidents, or safety issues when needed
• Perform other logistics, warehouse, and jobsite support tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with no restrictions
Clean driving history that meets company and insurance requirements
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable driving throughout Central and Northern New Jersey
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities in real time
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using an iPad, software, labels, and basic tracking tools
• Ability to lift, move, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Strong communication skills with office staff, field employees, vendors, and jobsite teams
• Willingness to support warehouse organization, fleet coordination, safety, and general logistics
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, mechanical contracting, warehouse operations, delivery, logistics, or inventory support
• Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, materials, and jobsite expectations
• Experience with tool tracking, inventory systems, or warehouse organization
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and fleet paperwork
• OSHA-30 certification, or willingness to complete OSHA-30 training

Work Environment

This role is based out of Farmingdale, NJ and includes daily local driving, warehouse work, jobsite visits, vendor pick-ups, loading/unloading, and regular interaction with field teams. The position requires flexibility, physical activity, and the ability to support multiple moving pieces throughout the day.
