Classroom Assistant

Job description:

A Classroom Assistant Paraprofessional supports teachers in providing a safe, positive, and effective learning environment for students. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom instruction, reinforcing lessons and activities, providing individual and small-group support, helping manage student behavior, supervising students during classroom and school activities, and assisting with the preparation of instructional materials. The paraprofessional may also support students with academic, social, behavioral, or personal care needs as directed by the teacher and administration, maintain confidentiality of student information, and perform other duties that contribute to the overall success of the classroom and school community.

Requirements

• NJDOE background check
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to commit to a Monday–Friday school schedule throughout the academic year.
• Ability to perform classroom-related duties, including assisting students during transitions, activities, and behavioral interventions when needed.
