Imagine a raw aircraft part arriving at your station. By the time it leaves your hands, it’s clean, precisely masked, anodized or prepped, and ready for a perfect coat of primer and paint. That transformation is your craft.
Core rotations you may support- Blasting: Operate in a suit with a supply hose; lift and position parts in a hot environment.
- Anodizing: Stage parts for racking; place them into anodize tanks; perform accurate racking.
- Etching/Wash: Prepare parts for inspection and anodize; apply plugs where needed.
- Masking: Apply tape to aircraft parts prior to paint using precise measurements. Blueprint reading preferred; training provided for the role.
- Demasking: Remove tape cleanly after paint.
- Paint Facilitation: Mix/prepare paint for painters in full body PPE; expect high heat.
- Shipping & Receiving: Handle heavy lifting with frequent bending and stooping.
- Paint Preparation: Sand and rack metal or composite components; conduct surface prep, inspection, masking, and quality checks to achieve a smooth, defect-free finish.
- Maintenance: Contribute skills in welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and water/waste pump systems.
- Frequent heavy lifting, bending, and stooping
