POSITION SUMMARY: primarily responsible for greeting guests, seating them, and ensuring a positive first impression of a restaurant or dining establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests as they enter the establishment.
• Managing reservations and seating arrangements.
• Providing menus and accompanying guests to their tables.
• Managing the waiting list during busy periods.
• Answering phones and taking reservations.
• Addressing guest inquiries about the menu or restaurant.
• Ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable dining experience.
• Potentially taking initial drink orders or providing information on daily specials.
• Communicating with servers and other staff about seating arrangements and guest needs.
• Assisting with tasks like bussing tables or running food if needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.
• May handle phone calls and address customer queries.
• May assist with special requests or accommodations.
• May be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front of house.
