Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary

• Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety

• Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, independence, and personal growth within the community

• Provide transportation for appointments, outings, or errands using company vehicles while adhering to safety protocols

• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, incident reports, and health records utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems

• Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual’s needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques

• Ensure the cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry

Experience

• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in assisted living, nursing homes, or retirement homes is highly preferred

• Knowledge of assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene support

• Hands-on experience with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid certification is advantageous

• Familiarity with home & community care environments and long-term care settings enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support

• Experience operating EMR systems for accurate record keeping and reporting

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties

• Background in behavior management techniques for individuals with dementia or memory care needs is a plus
