Laboratory Assistant (SEIU) – Clinical Lab (Epic Backfill Assignment)

Facility: Adventist Health Twin Cities
Location: Templeton, CA

Department: Clinical Laboratory
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Rotating
Hours: Typically 36–40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $45 – $47/hr
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 – $1,880/week

Job Summary

Assist in clinical laboratory operations by supporting specimen collection, processing, and routine lab workflow activities. Ensure accurate handling of patient samples, maintain laboratory standards, and support timely diagnostic testing in a hospital lab environment.

Requirements

  • Current Epic EMR experience required

  • Previous clinical laboratory or phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow lab protocols

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory setting

  • Must meet hospital credentialing requirements

Required Credentials

  • Epic EMR experience required

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred

  • BLS preferred (if applicable per facility policy)

Setting

  • Hospital Clinical Laboratory (Acute Care)

  • Cerner EMR environment (Epic Backfill Assignment)
