Job Description
The Accounting Clerk will support both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while assisting with reporting and general accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with accounting support or AP experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and wants the opportunity to grow within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and assist with daily AP activities.
- Set up new vendors within the accounting system.
- Manage the purchase order inbox and process purchase orders.
- Generate customer invoices and assist with Accounts Receivable functions.
- Support light collections efforts as needed.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including visibility and deferred income reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Assist with filing, organization, and system cleanup projects.
- Provide administrative support to Project Managers and the accounting department.
- Perform additional accounting and office support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous accounting support, bookkeeping, or Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Accounting coursework or degree is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
