Position Summary

We are seeking a Women’s Health Sonographer to join our Women’s Health team. This role performs basic ultrasound services for obstetric and gynecological patients under the guidance of a supervising physician and within the scope of training, protocols, and TFHC policies.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with accepted protocols and provider direction
  • Prepare and instruct patients to support cooperation and quality test results
  • Maintain ultrasound rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Follow safety, infection control, and OSHA protocols
  • Record patient information accurately, clearly, and completely
  • Obtain preliminary patient data before referrals or provider review
  • Support referral processing and follow-up according to facility protocol
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff
  • Assist with orientation of new personnel or students when needed
  • Support continued learning, teamwork, and patient-centered care

Qualifications
  • Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited institution
  • ARDMS certification in OB/GYN or AB required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical practice in an OB/GYN specialty required
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with patients and team members

Please note that the employee’s initial training schedule may differ from the regular schedule of the position. All new hires, including part-time employees, must be available for up to 40 hours of in-person, on-site training during their first week. Additional mandatory training may continue for approximately two to three weeks, depending on the position and training requirements. Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employee’s assigned work location.
